A HEREFORD biker has been banned from the roads after he was caught out without a licence or insurance.

Mark Andrew Parry appeared before magistrates in Cheltenham in January after he was convicted of one count of driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and one count of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance at an earlier hearing.

One count of driving without due care and attention, which Parry had denied, was dismissed as no evidence was offered.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 37-year-old defendant had been caught after riding a Honda CBR-125 on Stowfield Road in Gloucestershire without a licence authorising him to drive a vehicle of that class on February 25.

He had also driven the same vehicle in Stowfield Road on February 25 without a valid insurance policy in place, the court heard.

Parry, who is of Pixley Road, Hereford, was fined £120 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months. He must also pay costs of £110 and a £34 victim surcharge.
