A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught out on a busy Herefordshire main road.
Vincent Bruce Lacey entered a guilty plea to one charge of driving a motor vehicle while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates in Cheltenham in January.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 44-year-old defendant had been caught after getting behind the wheel of a Hyundai on the A417 at Bromsberrow near Ledbury, Herefordshire on November 3.
An evidential breath test taken by police revealed that Lacey had 61 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal driving limit is 35 microgrammes.

Lacey, who is of Whitecross Road in Hereford, was fined £120 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £48 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
He was offered the opportunity to undertake the drink-driving rehabilitation course, which will reduce his ban by 18 weeks if successfully completed.
