PET fosterers are wanted in Herefordshire as the RSPCA struggles to cope with the number of dogs in their care.
The Herefordshire branch of the national animal charity is looking to expand its team of dog fosterers to help with an increased demand for places.
The charity is struggling nationally with the numbers of dogs in care currently, said a spokesperson for the branch.
But it is also recruiting because the branch has decided to move away from boarding kennels towards putting the dogs into foster, said the spokesperson.

"It is better for the dogs in the long run as we get to see what they are like in a family setting, but from experience the foster carers do need to be quite robust," they said.
They must be local to Herefordshire, have a secure garden, experience with specific and larger breeds.

The RSPCA pay full expenses to short-term foster carers and can supply all kit that is needed.
