Nearly half of Brits want Prince Harry to be stripped of his royal title amid of his new Netflix documentary.

The show, Harry and Meghan followed the story of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from their courtship, marriage and eventual departure from the royal family.

The couple created the show after their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey saw them share their mistreatment by fellow royals and the real reason why they decided to leave the Palace.

With hopes that it would give people an insight into their lives and an understanding of the reasons why they chose to leave.

However now, a new YouGov poll created by The Times found that 44% of people felt that Prince Harry should have his royal title removed, with 32% saying no.

It also found that a total of 44% had more sympathy for the Prince and Princess of Wales compared to the 17% for Harry and Meghan.

Discussing the YouGov poll and their Netflix show, the author of Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle, Tom Quinn told The Times: "I’m only surprised that the documentary didn’t do more damage to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. I found it painful to watch – it made you realise they are lost souls.

"It is extraordinary that they feel this will somehow improve things for them."

The poll also asked whether people felt the Sussex had been forced out of the royal family, with 11% agreeing they had and 65% feeling it was their own choice.
