A HEREFORD woman has been banned from the roads after she was caught drug-driving in a busy city street.

Claire Manuschka entered a guilty plea to one count of driving a motor vehicle while over the drug limit when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford in December.

The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 39-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a black Seat Leon while over the drug-driving limit in Hereford's Ledbury Road on November 15.

An evidential blood test revealed she had 2.8 microgrammes of controlled class B drug cannabis product delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood. The legal limit is two microgrammes.

Manuschka, who is of Vernon Williams Close, Hereford, was fined £120 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for an obligatory 36 months for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken her guilty plea into account when imposing the penalty.
