A ROAD closure in a Herefordshire town centre has caused disruption for a bus company.

Broad Street and Brookend Street in Ross-on-Wye will be closed from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday, December 17.

This is due to the town’s Christmas carnival taking place in Market Place.

It starts at 4pm with Ross Town Band followed by carols from St Mary’s Church choir.

Children and families will be able to meet Santa at the end of his torchlight parade that arrives at the Market House at 5pm.

A free goodie page and gifts will be given from Santa to all children under 13 years old.

Stagecoach has announced during this time its service 35 will need to divert via the High Street instead of Broad Street.

It will then go to Edde Cross Street, into Trenchard Street and Greytree Road.

At the double mini roundabout, it will go to Millpond Street past Morrisons.

It will follow the road around to the left in Station Road then it will take the fourth exit at the roundabout into Cantilupe Road, where it will end.
