HEREFORD Medical Group has warned patients that it has no appointments as it faces more extreme pressure.

The group, which runs several surgeries including Station Medical Centre in Hereford, said it was at "full capacity for appointments again today" after issuing a similar warning last week.

This was due to "extremely high levels of demand", it said as it shared the warning on Monday (December 12).

OTHER NEWS:

"Due to the present national health issues that are being felt across the country, the practice is operating under extreme pressure, so we would like to ask that patients please continue to bear with us when trying to make appointments," it said.

"It is imperative that we maintain a safe environment for our patients.

"We thank you all for your understanding, and we ask that all patients continue to remain courteous to staff when in contact with the surgery as they are working under enormous amounts of pressure to meet demand."

OTHER NEWS:

In August, Matthew Taylor, chief executive of the NHS Confederation, said that the health service is in a “terrible situation” where it is facing “more demand than we can deal with”.
