TWO men have appeared before magistrates accused of causing actual bodily harm in a Hereford incident.

Callum Woodhouse and Owen Dykes appeared before magistrates in Hereford in December after entering not guilty pleas to charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm at an earlier hearing.

The court heard 21-year-old Woodhouse was accused of jointly assaulting a man, causing him actual bodily harm, in Hereford together with Owen Dykes on April 5.

The case against Woodhouse, who is of Lowfield Meadow, Kingstone, was dismissed.

Dykes, who is 18-years-old was convicted of one count of assaulting a man, causing him actual bodily harm, in Hereford on April 5.

The court heard he had also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment alarm or distress within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm, or distress in Hereford on April 5.

Dykes had also admitted causing criminal damage to the wing mirror and a door panel, worth around £150, belonging to another person in Hereford on July 16, and causing damage to three fence panels, worth around £150, on the same date.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out and Dykes, who is of St Owen Street, Hereford, was granted unconditional bail and will appear before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on January 3.
