A HEREFORD tattoo shop has been sold a year after owners announced they would be closing for good in early 2022.

Set in Hereford's Aubrey Street, near the Green Dragon Hotel, Little Princess Trust, and A Rule of Tum, the Skinzophrenic tattoo and piercing parlour was on the market with agents Sunderlands for a guide price of £380,000.

It is now listed online as having been sold, paving the way for a new lease of life for the city building.

Sunderlands said the parlour is a well-presented detached property in good condition throughout and includes space for three vehicles outside.

An entrance leads from the front parking area to the ground floor, while a separate external staircase gives access to a self-contained first-floor flat.

Inside, there is a reception area, kitchenette and toilet facilities, and a large open plan area currently used as a tattoo studio, while upstairs there is a mezzanine area with two self-contained treatment or storage room and a glass roof.

The ground floor double doors open up to an immaculately finished reception area with timber slat flooring. A door off the reception area gives access to a kitchenette with toilet facilities to one side.

The separately accesses first-floor flat has a balcony, open plan kitchen, dining, and living area, a double bedroom, storage area, and a bathroom.

In an announcement on the tattoo parlour's Facebook page in October 2021, the parlour's owners said they would be closing its doors at the end of March 2022.

They said they had had an amazing run but that it was "time for the young birds to fly the nest".

"It's both extremely sad that it's the end of an amazing era, and also the exciting beginning of a new stage in life for us all," they said, thanking their "amazing clients".
