A BRAND-NEW pop-up pub has been launched in Herefordshire.

The Drinking Trough is Herefordshire’s newest pub, on the Crumplebury estate in Whitbourne.

Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in the run-up to Christmas, and again on Sunday afternoons, drinkers and foodies alike will be kick-starting the festive season in style.

Complete with spiral wine cellar and a roaring fire, the Drinking Trough menu includes pub classics from homemade burgers to Herefordshire steaks and fish dishes, along with delicious starters, sides, nibbles and puds.

Bartenders will pop the corks on fabulous fizz, shake and stir homemade cocktails and serve great local ales.

Keeley Evans, founder and creative director at Crumplebury, said: “Christmas is for celebrating, and there’s no better place to catch up with your favourite friends than at the pub.

“We’re so excited to launch this new food and drink concept in rural Herefordshire.

“While our seasonal tasting menus will always be at the heart of our fine dining restaurant, Green Cow Kitchens, this is an altogether more casual affair.

“Drop in after work, bring friends for a night out, or settle in for a lazy Sunday afternoon. We can’t wait to welcome everyone.”

The Drinking Trough festive pop-up pub is open every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5.30pm-late and on Sundays from noon-3pm from now until Christmas.

Follow the signs off the A44 from Whitbourne.

The Drinking Trough is at the end of a mile-and-a-half long track, inside the main Crumplebury building.
