AN ACCUSED man has been sent for trial over allegations that he injured another person in an assault in Herefordshire.
Darren Leeming appeared before magistrates in Hereford in November accused of one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contrary to section 47 of the Offences against the Person Act 1861.
The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 41-year-old is accused of assaulting a man, causing him actual bodily harm, in Herefordshire on October 23, 2021.

A second charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on the same date was withdrawn.
The case was sent for trial and Leeming, who is of Acton Beauchamp, Worcestershire, was granted unconditional bail ahead of his next hearing.
He will appear before magistrates in Worcester for trial on February 17.
