Hereford 1 Darlington 2 - every important update as it happens

Our live feed has now finished.

  • LIVE: Hereford 1 (Evans 11) Darlington 2 (Liddle 45+3, Lambert 53)
  • Aaron Amadi-Holloway was clattered from behind but Jack Holmes found Jack Evans stationed out on the right, his perfect first touch to get it out of his feet and roll it into the right of the box was followed by a big stride forward followed by an assured, crisp low strike across Tommy Taylor to find the bottom far corner.
  • Hereford had added impetus for the rest of the half but Jack Lambert, leading a Darlington break in first-half stoppage time, hit the bar from his own half with Dale Eve beaten and the equaliser was not far away, Ben Liddle fired past Eve from the edge of the box shortly afterwards.
  • Jacob Hazel pulls out to the left and centres for Jack Lambert to arrive late with a burst into the box and find the net.
  • Hereford skipper Luke Haines could not quite connect in front of goal after Amadi-Holloway had flicked on a corner early in the second half and the hosts soon paid the price, Jacob Hazel peeling to the left to centre for Lambert to convert a simple chance for Darlo.
  • Hereford pressure built and built and Amadi-Holloway might have done more with Storey's cutback from the right but the resolute visitors formed a red blanket all around the 18-yard box.
  • Hereford: Eve, Evans, Haines, Thompson-Sommers, Amadi-Holloway, Pinchard, Storey, Hanson, Melhado, Holmes, Thompson
  • Subs: Campbell, Osment, Barnett, Caton, Dinanga
  • Hereford make six changes from the side that lost at Heybridge last weekend. They hand a debut to loanee full-back James Melhado.
  • Brad Wade is not in the squad as Dale Eve returns.
  • Jack Evans and Kane Thompson-Sommers return from injuries.
  • Tyrone Barnett dropped to the bench as Aaron Amadi-Holloway recovers from Covid-19 to play up front.
  • Skipper Luke Haines could play as part of a back four alongside Jordan Thompson OR Hereford could play a back three.
  • Darlington: Taylor, Dodds, Sukar, Hedley, Lawlor, Lambert, Purver, Moke (c), Liddle, Rivers, Hazel
  • Subs: Martin, Rose, Felix, Griffiths, Mondal.
  • Attendance: 1,778, including 99 away fans.
