A HEREFORDSHIRE town’s biggest ever Christmas lights switch on event, with special guest Richard Hammond, is set to go ahead this weekend.
Ross-on-Wye Town Council will be holding the event on November 27, when the town centre, Broad Street and Croft Court, will come alive with over 70 stalls.
An array of local businesses will be selling an array of wonderful gift ideas for family and friends in Ross town centre between 11am and 5pm.
Two bars will be set up and the Beefy Boys will also be serving their famous burgers, alongside other food stalls.

During the afternoon there will be live music at the Market House including local choirs, the Border Belles and the Penyard Singers and solo singers, Erica Jean, John Winder, and the Ross-on-Wye Town Band.
Children can also pay a visit to Santa's Grotto at The Venue in Hill Street, where there will also be an array of charity stalls with plenty more gift ideas.
Look out for the Grinch who will be causing mayhem throughout the day and trying to 'steal Christmas'.
Santa's reindeers will be taking time out of their pre-Christmas training schedule to make a special appearance between 12 to 2pm.

Special guest TV presenter and local resident Richard Hammond will be turning on the Christmas Lights at 4.30pm, which include the town's new hedgehog lights.
New Street will be closed for the whole day on November 27 by Herefordshire Council highways team Balfour Beatty.
Residents will have access only and any diversion will be locally signposted.
All car parks in Ross will be open and free to drivers.
This includes Corn Exchange car park, Kryle Street car park, and Red Meadow car park.
Ross-on-Wye Town Council looks forward to welcoming everyone to the event, said a spokesperson.
