ONE of Mid Wales' most famous residents has agreed to perform in her local town next month.

Welsh singer-songwriter Charlotte Church, 36, will be bringing her Late Night Pop Dungeon to the Lost ARC on Saturday, December 10 – and tickets go on sale on Thursday (November 17) at 9am.

“Since she set up shop down the road we've been in talks with @TheRealCharlotteChurch about the possibility that maybe... just maybe, she'd play for us at The Lost ARC,” read a post on the venue’s Facebook page.

“Well, the time is now. And given that this is to be the Late Night Pop Dungeon's final tour, it's now or never.

“Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning. This is likely to sell fast and sell out so don't hang around if you want to join us.”

Church's Late Night Pop Dungeon's genre-fluid set has become the stuff of festival legend, and this will be their final ever tour. Late Night Pop Dungeon levels up a sparkly jukebox of anthems spanning from En Vogue to Bowie and Kate Bush to Nine Inch Nails – often appearing in the same mashed-up medley.

Fronted by Charlotte Church, and backed by a post-punk-disco-R’n’B band, this nine-piece are ready to deliver pop bangers and forgotten classics.

Tickets are available from the venue or online at www.thelostarc.co.uk.

The star recently bought a derelict Welsh country house, Rhydoldog, and has transformed it into a nature-orientated business venture called The Dreaming.
