A RANGE Rover driver was arrested and found to be more than three time the drink-drive limit after a crash in a Herefordshire village.

Katie Edwards admitted one count of drink-driving when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Mark Hambling that police had been called to a crash in Eaton Bishop on October 15.

OTHER NEWS:

Edwards, who had been driving a Range Rover Evoque, was arrested and taken into custody after failing a roadside breath test, Mr Hambling said.

She was taken to Hereford police station, where an evidential breath test revealed she had 111 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Edwards was handed a nine-month community order and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 24 months. She was also fined £692 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and a £114 victim surcharge.
