HEREFORD police are searching for owners after multiple thefts of bikes and motorbikes.

South Wye Safer Neighbourhood Team found a push bike in Clehonger last night (October 31).

The man who was riding it dumped it and ran away from police, said a spokesperson.

“It is believed stolen,” said the spokeperson.

If the owner of the bike would like to collect it, they need to contact the police on 101, and they will request proof of ownership.

Police also shared yesterday they had received reports of a moped being left in Belmont football pitch on Facebook.

The bike was confirmed stolen from the Vaga Tavern and an investigation has now been launched, said the spokesperson.

A police spokesperson yesterday said officers had received many reports of motorbike thefts across the south side of Hereford in the past 24 hours.

Several the stolen motorbikes have been recovered but have been damaged, a police spokesperson said.

"Please remain vigilant and keep all motorbikes out of sight," the spokesperson said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
