THREE fire crews have been called out to a major junction on the Herefordshire-Shropshire border after a tractor and trailer overturned.

Crews from Hereford, Cleobury Mortimer and Wellington were all sent to the scene of the crash.

West Mercia Police said roads at the A49 and A456 junction at Woofferton were blocked when the report came in at around 6.30pm on Monday, October 3.

Hereford fire station said one of its engines made its way to the major junction between Leominster and Ludlow to support Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.

But the crew said that once it arrived at the scene, it was confirmed that nobody was trapped or seriously injured and the crash was left with the police.

Shropshire's fire service, which also sent an operations officer to the scene, said the crash involved one overturned tractor and trailer but no action was required from crews.
