A PLAN to convert part of Hereford Conservative Club into flats has been put on hold. Councillors are to visit the East Street premises before making a decision about it.
Finale Properties have applied to build eight flats at the back of the Grade II* listed building.
If approved, the remainder of the building will be used by the club, while important architectural features, such as two billiard rooms and an ornate plastered ceiling, would remain.
Planning officers had recommended granting permission for the scheme, first touted in late 2005.
