A LAND ROVER driver has escaped a roads ban after he was caught speeding on a busy Herefordshire main road.
Rowland David Pritchard entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard the 73-year-old had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Land Rover in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Weston under Penyard on December 2.

Pritchard, of Valley Road, Cinderford, was handed a £500 fine, six penalty points, and must pay costs of £90 and a £50 victim surcharge.
No totting disqualification was made due to the effect a ban for Pritchard would have on J Matthews Haulage, and the effect it would have on stock ordering and staff being able to attend work at his public house. Family members also rely on Pritchard for financial and transport support, the court was told.
