HOMES in a Herefordshire town are without water this afternoon as temperatures continue to rise.

A burst main means taps have run dry in Bromyard.

Welsh Water said they are aware of a burst main in the Coronation Avenue/Clover Road area of the town.

The leak is being repaired, a spokesperson said.

Clover Road is currently closed, while crews dig up the burst pipe, with work to mend the pipe currently expected to be completed by 6pm.

Water can be seen streaming down Old Road in the town.

The burst comes as temperatures in the town hit 28 degrees, with a heat health warning issued by the Met Office for later in the week.
