A HEREFORD speeder has escaped a roads ban to save his job.
Mark Andrew Hempshall, 40, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Sheffield.
The court heard Hempshall had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Ford in a 50 miles per hour variable speed limit zone on the M1 at Rotherham on August 23.

Hempshall of Keswick Close, Hereford, was fined £250 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £85 and a £34 victim surcharge.
No totting disqualification was made as, magistrates heard, a ban would cause exceptional hardship due to the potential loss of employment and the difficulty it would create for him to see his children.
