MCDONALD’S has resubmitted a planning application for a new drive-thru in a Herefordshire town after the last received more than 200 objections.

The fast food chain previously put in a planning application to Herefordshire Council for a new restaurant to stand on the roundabout where the A40 meets the A449 to the northeast of the town.

The proposed entrance would have been through a residential housing estate off the main road.

But the company withdrew plans after it received 221 objections and 97 submissions of support locally, with National Highways and Ross-on-Wye Town Council also raising concerns.
