HEREFORDSHIRE emergency services have tackled two arsons within a week in a Herefordshire town.

Ross-on-Wye Safer Neighbourhood Team said it was called to the fires in the skatepark in Ross-on-Wye where a bin and a 2008 memorial bench had been set alight.

Police said youths were seen running away when firefighters from Ross-on-Wye fire station arrived, said a spokesperson from the team.

In February, emergency services tackled two deliberate fires in just 24 hours at the skatepark.

Just over a week later fire crews put out another deliberate blaze.

Police appealed to parents asking: “Do you know where your kids are?”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the safer neighbourhood team, which can be found here.
