HEREFORDSHIRE'S GP surgeries have been ranked from best to worst in the annual GP patient satisfaction survey.

GP surgeries across Herefordshire were rated by patients in the annual NHS survey.

Patients were asked a range of questions, asking how satisfied they were with the whole process, from booking their appointment to their overall experience.

And while some surgeries scored highly in some areas, others fell short in the eyes of patients.

Here, we have taken a look at a few key questions. Carry on reading to see how your surgery did.

Easy to get through to on the phone?

Cradley Surgery and Weobley and Staunton Surgeries came out on top, with 93 per cent of patients agreeing it was easy to get through to both surgeries by phone.

Golden Valley Practice came in second place with a score of 90 per cent, The Mortimer Medical Practice scored 88 per cent, and Kington Medical Practice scored 77 per cent.

At the other end of the scale, just 24 per cent of Hereford Medical Group's patients said it was easy to get through to the surgery by phone, followed by Wargrave House, Hereford, at 28 per cent, Ledbury Health Partnership at 38 per cent, Pendeen Surgery, Ross-on-Wye, at 48 per cent, and Nunwell Surgery, Bromyard, at 51 per cent.

Percentage satisfied with appointment times available

Cradley Surgery came in first place, with 83 per cent of patients satisfied with the appointment times on offer.

Next up was Alton Street Surgery, Ross, with 80 per cent, Weobley and Staunton on Wye Surgeries with 78 per cent, The Marches Surgery, Leominster, with 75 per cent, and Golden Valley Practice and Fownhope Surgery, with 72 per cent each.

Ledbury Health Partnership came in last place with 35 per cent, followed by Hereford Medical Group with 38 per cent, Pendeen Surgery, Ross, with 41 per cent, Colwall Surgery with 42 per cent, and Belmont Medical Centre with 47 per cent.

Percentage satisfied with appointment offered

Cradley Surgery was again at the top of the chart with 88 per cent saying they were satisfied with the appointment they were offered. The top spot was shared with Murch Birch Surgery.

Close behind was Weobley and Staunton Surgeries, with 87 per cent, and Fownhope Surgery and Kington Medical Practice, with 84 per cent each.

At the bottom of the scale was Belmont Medical Centre, with just 57 per cent saying they were satisfied.

Next up was Colwall surgery with 66 per cent, Pendeen Surgery with 68 per cent, The Marches Surgery, with 70 per cent, and Hereford Medical Group, with 71 per cent.

Percentage who felt their needs were met during their last appointment

Surgeries performed better overall in this category, Cradley Surgery again taking first place with 97 per cent, the top spot being shared this time with Fownhope Surgery.

Next up were Much Birch Surgery, Cantilupe Surgery, Hereford, and Colwall Surgery, with 96 per cent, and Kington Medical Practice with 95 per cent.

The lowest scoring surgery was Nunwell Surgery, with 86 per cent, followed by Hereford Medical Group and Ledbury Health Partnership with 87 per cent, Wargrave House Surgery with 88 per cent, and The Mortimer Medical Practice, Kingsland, with 90 per cent.

Percentage who describe their overall experience as good

Cradley Surgery and Weobley and Staunton on Wye Surgeries again tied for the top spot in the overall category, both with 91 per cent.

They were followed by Fownhope Surgery with 89%, Much Birch Surgery and Golden Valley Practice with 88 per cent, and Cantilupe Surgery with 86 per cent.

In last place was Nunwell Surgery, with 58 per cent, followed by Hereford Medical Group and Ledbury Health Partnership, both with 62 per cent, Pendeen Surgery, with 72 per cent, and Belmont Medical Centre, with 73 per cent.
