A HEREFORD teenager has been given a three-year professional contract with Championship side Birmingham City.

Jordan James, who turned 18 earlier this month, made his professional debut for the club last year, eventually making six appearances and scoring his first senior goal.

He won the Birmingham City's Young Player of the Season award.

The new deal contracts James to the club until at least the summer of 2025.

"It is a very proud moment for me and my family. It is another step in the right direction," said James.

"Playing the number of games that I did last season, I feel I can improve and do good things with the club."
