BARCLAYS Bank are not alone in the banking world in closing down branches using the excuse of falling transactions and the small numbers exclusively using the branch for banking which does not compute.
RELEVANT NEWS:
You should be able to pop in to any branch if in an area when out and about.
When I visit a branch (Ledbury always has a queue) I am happy to queue for a real person who processes my needs and offers advise, that is once I have said ‘No’ to a cashier whose turn it is to be a floor walker directing people to a machine.
I have been a Barclays customer since 1976 receiving good service over the years but the way the service has
deteriorated under these streamlining measures is convincing me more and more to moving to a friendly institution namely a building society.
