A CRASH driver has been banned from the roads after driving dangerously on a motorway.

Michael Mulcahy, of Panniers Lane, Bromyard, entered guilty pleas when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester.

The court heard the 44-year-old had driven a Mitsubishi L200 dangerously on the M5 near junction four at Bromsgrove on December 22.

He was involved in a crash with a Ford Transit on the motorway that day, magistrates were told, and had also failed to give his name and address to a person with reasonable grounds to require them and failed to report the crash to police.

Mulcahy was disqualified from driving for 15 months and must take an extended retest.

He was also handed a six-month community order, fined a total of £286, and must pay costs of £185 and a £95 victim surcharge.
