A woman escaped serious injury after her car left the motorway near Ledbury and landed in a ditch.

Emergency services were called to junction 3 of the M50 just after 8.30am on Saturday (July 2).

West Mercia Police confirmed there had been a crash involving one vehicle.

“The vehicle had left the carriageway and landed in ditch,” a spokesperson said.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said a paramedic officer had attended the scene.

“On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was the driver of the car,” an ambulance service spokesperson said.

“Following assessment at the scene, the patient was discharged.”

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Ross and Ledbury attended the crash on Saturday morning and found the car in a wooded area.

The incident caused delays on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway.
