A CHESTER youth who illegally took a car and drove it into a wall has been sentenced.
The 17-year-old male, who cannot be named, had pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking, driving without a licence, without insurance, and failing to report a road accident he had caused.
The youth court, sitting at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 29, heard that the offences all took place on February 26.
The vehicle driven, a Ford Fiesta, hit a garden wall on Burton Road.
The 17-year-old was handed a six-month youth referral order, which requires him to attend a youth offender panel and follow their requirements.
He was also banned from driving for 12 months.
His parent/guardian was ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £22.
