MORE Herefordshire speeders have been fined by the magistrates after they were caught breaking the limit.

Katherine Lucy Wright, 27, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Bodmin.

The court heard Wright had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Peugeot 107 in a 70 miles per hour zone on the A30 Fingle Glen in Exeter on October 13.

Wright, of The Village, Clyro, was fined £66 and received three penalty points. She must also pay costs of £90 and a £90 victim surcharge.

Anthony Smith, 59, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Worcester.

The court heard Ford driver Smith had been caught speeding in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A449 at Ombersley on July 6.

Smith, of Dry Thistle Close, Bromyard, was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for six months due to repeat offending. He also received six penalty points and must pay costs of £110 and a £34 victim surcharge.

Paul William Johnson, 46, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Cardiff after previously pleading not guilty.

The court heard Johnson had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Ford Transit in a 30 miles per hour zone in North Road, Cardiff, on July 21.

The case was adjourned to consider if there are any mitigating circumstances, including exceptional hardship, for not ordering disqualification, and Johnson, of Lugg Bridge, Hereford, will appear before magistrates in Cardiff on June 28.
