KEEN photographers and plane spotters have been left delighted after seeing the Red Arrows fly over Herefordshire.

En route to the Midlands Air Festival in Warwickshire, eastern parts of the county were treated to the incredible sight of the famous jets over the long bank holiday festival for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The world-renowned RAF display team were seen over Bosbury, near Ledbury, Bromyard and then onto Tenbury after taking off from RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire on Thursday, Friday and Saturday – complete with red, white and blue smoke.

The Red Arrows represent the speed, agility and precision of the RAF, it says.

The RAF also says that the Red Arrows, actually Hawk jets, help in recruiting to the Armed Forces, act as ambassadors for the UK and promote the best of British.
