I AGREE with Fiona Griffiths (Hereford Times, May 26) that the whole booking of tip appointments is now no longer needed and stops people from using them, with all the consequences that might bring.
My local tip, Bromyard, is only open on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays so limits accessibility at the best of times.

Having to book in advance, and answer silly questions as well (can you imagine someone trying to take several bags of garden rubbish on a bike?) encourages the burning of rubbish as well as putting things in general waste bins that could be better disposed of.
