A THIEF stole goods worth hundreds from shops in Hereford and attacked a man, causing actual bodily harm.
Chad Smith was convicted of nine offences when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster.
The court heard the 39-year-old had stolen an electric toothbrush worth £450 from Boots in Hereford on March 8, perfume from TK Maxx in Hereford on March 25, and meat worth £86 from Co-op in Holmer Road on April 8.
He had also stolen electrical equipment worth £119 from B&M in Hereford on April 11, and meat worth £70.45 from Co-op in Holmer Road on April 17.

He further admitted assaulting a man, causing actual bodily harm in Hereford on March 25, and failing to turn up at Hereford magistrates court on May 18, having been released on police bail.
Smith, of Commercial Road, Hereford, was committed to the crown court for sentencing and bailed with conditions not to enter any shop in Hereford except for Aldi. He will appear before Worcester Crown Court on June 21.
