I'M reading the latest propaganda from Herefordshire Council’s Herefordshire Now.
In its vain attempt to justify the bloated salaries of executives, I noticed I pay £100 yearly towards Herefordshire road services.
Could the council reimburse my £100? I would be happy to get out my drain rods and go forth.

The first issue would be the drain on the west side of the Roman Road road railway bridge.
Clearly, the Romans did not do a very good job because every time there is a downpour the road resembles the water splash on Blackpool’s big dipper.
Getting the Romans back to rod the drains is clearly a non-starter.
It is well out of the statutory period of limitation legally obliging shoddy builders to make good their failings.
Therefore, I would be delighted to get down and dirty and rod the aforementioned rogue drain.
Alternatively, as rain is forecast the road could become part of the May Fair big dipper water splash extravaganza and a major tourist attraction that would, hopefully, appear in the next edition of Herefordshire
Now as: “Hereford makes a big splash on the tourist trail”.
