MORE men are passing their driving test in Herefordshire than women.
Figures from Hereford test centre show more women applied to take their test in the city in 2021 than men, with a total of 1,134 women and 1,066 men sitting it between April and December.
But despite there being more female applicants, the greater number of passes were by males, with a total of 649 female passes and 692 male passes.
The best month for women was June, with just over 62 per cent of applicants passing their test, while the worst month was October, with 52 per cent, or just over half, of all applicants passing.
For men, the best month was May, with 70 per cent passing, while the numbers took a dip over the winter months, with just 61 per cent passing in November.
The best month for passes, with an overall pass rate of 63.5 per cent was June, while November was the worst month, with an overall pass rate of 58 per cent.
