  • ROLLING MATCH REPORT
  • HARTPURY University lifted the Herefordshire FA County Cup after two goals inside the last 12 minutes gave them a 2-1 win over Hereford.
  • The Bulls had the opening chance on six minutes with loanee Keenan Patten catching his effort well from outside the box which flew wide.
  • Dual-registration player Justice Campbell was next to try his luck at goal but saw his effort deflected at the goalkeeper.
  • The Bulls were given a scare on 12 minutes when the ball bobbled over goalkeeper Andreas Sondergaard who came racing out of his box, but defender Toby Raison was on hand to clear.
  • The students thought they deserved a 17th minute penalty when King Baidoo got goal-side of defender Mark Derricot who leaned into the forward sending him down, but referee Josh Brookland waved away the appeals.
  • McLean was causing Hartpury problems and pulled away from his marker inside the box before sending his 23rd minute over.
  • McLean put Hereford ahead on 35 minutes with Pa Njie playing him through on goal and the forward rounded the goalkeeper before finding the net, despite Stephen Sarkodie trying his best to take him down.
  • Moments before the break Hartpury had the chance to equalise with Baidoo seeing his effort deflected wide.
  • The visitors also went close after the break when a clever free-kick saw Bam's flicked cross find Baidoo whose free header was wide.
  • Moments later Baidoo's cross found Luca Robinson unmarked but he sent his effort straight at the goalkeeper.
  • Robinson would have an even better chance moments later ghosting in at the back post before sending his effort over the Meadow End.
  • Wolves loanee goalkeeper Andreas Sondergaard was called into action on 68 minutes making a vital save to deny a headed effort inside the box.
  • Substitute Josh Bissett was next to have a golden chance after Baidoo raced into the box before pulling back for his fellow striker who blazed over.
  • Hartpury were level from the penalty spot on the 79th minute.
  • Baidoo found space inside the box and was brought down by Patten as he fired wide.
  • Najee Holder stepped up from the penalty spot and neatly tucked away his penalty.
  • Just four minutes later the students were ahead with Bissett firing across goal and Sondergaard could only palm the ball into the path of Bam who fired home from close range
