A MOTORCYCLIST is in serious condition after a crash with a car on a Herefordshire main road.

An ambulance service spokesperson said crews were called to reports of a crash between a motorbike and a car on the A465 at 3.35pm yesterday (April 24).

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS doctor from the Mercian Accident Rescue Service, and the Welsh Air Ambulance attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered a male patient, the motorcyclist, who was in a serious condition," the spokesperson said.

"He received specialist trauma care at the scene before being airlifted to Southmead Hospital for further treatment."

The road was closed for a number of hours while emergency crews worked, with firefighters and police also called to the scene.

It was reopened late last night.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the crash, which involved a black Range Rover and a black Suzuki bike, or have dash-cam or CCTV footage which may have captured it.
