A MERCEDES driver has escaped a roads ban after he was caught speeding in Herefordshire as the loss of his licence would cause him to lose his home.
Christopher Michael Yarrow entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Worcester.
The court heard the 47-year-old had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Mercedes in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Pencraig in Herefordshire on August 11.

Yarrow, of Syston Road, South Croxton, was fined £116 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £110 and a £34 victim surcharge.
No totting disqualification was made as this would have a significant effect on his family, he is the sole income source for the family, and it would result in the loss of their home. It would also impact his employer's business as he drives some 97,000 miles annually in his job, magistrates said.
