HEREFORDSHIRE football star Jarrod Bowen scored during his side's 1-1 draw with Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final.

The footballer, from Leominster, pounced on Pablo Fornals’ deflected pass to fire home on game's opening goal after 52 minutes.

However, the Hammers who played 45 minutes with 10-men after Aaron Cresswell was shown red conceded on 66 minutes when Tanguy Ndombele scored for the French side.

Bowen started his senior football career with Hereford United before joining Hull City and now plays for West Ham.

The second leg of the quarter-final takes place in France on April 14.
