A MOTORCYCLIST from Herefordshire has been killed in a crash near Ledbury overnight, police say.

Gloucestershire Police said emergency services were called to Beach Lane in the Bromsberrow Heath area, in the Forest of Dean, shortly after 12.25am.

They were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle rider.

The rider of a grey Honda PCX 125 motorcycle, a man in his 30s from the Ledbury area, was treated at the scene but died.

Police say his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The road was closed for around eight hours while an investigation took place by forensic collision investigators and has since reopened.

Officers investigating the crash would like to hear from anyone who has not already spoken to the police and has information that may be relevant.

As well as this, anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage that shows the motorcycle in the lead up to the collision is also asked to make contact.

Information can be submitted to police online, quoting incident four of April 8. Information can also be given to Gloucestershire Police by calling 101.
