A TEENAGER has appeared in crown court charged with murdering a baby in Herefordshire more than three years ago.

Paris Mayo, 18, appeared at Worcester Crown Court charged with killing baby Stanley Mayo in Ross-on-Wye.

West Mercia Police arrested and charged her on Monday (April 4).

Wearing a light grey cardigan and pink Nike tracksuit trousers for the 30-minute hearing on Wednesday morning, Mayo, of Denehurst, Ruardean Woodside in the Forest of Dean, was remanded in custody.

OTHER NEWS:

Mayo, who would have only been 15 at the time of the alleged murder, was represented by Mark Thompson, while Chloe Ashley was the prosecution barrister.

Judge James Burbidge also set a date of May 24 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
