A HEREFORDSHIRE driver has been handed a three-year ban after he was caught drink-driving.

David Ramshaw entered a guilty plea after initially pleading not guilty when he appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates Court.

The court heard the 44-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Peugeot Partner in Leominster's Worcester Road while over the drink-drive limit on July 17.

An evidential breath test revealed he had 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Ramshaw, of Docklow, Herefordshire, was disqualified from driving for three years and fined £200. He must also pay costs of £150 and a £34 victim surcharge.
