MORE drivers have been up before the magistrates after they were caught speeding on Herefordshire's roads.

Ethan Copeland, 28, was proven guilty by magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Copeland had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Toyota in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A417 at Ashperton on June 26.

Copeland, of Fletcher Road, Chertsey, was fined £220 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.

Samuel Hefin Canfield, 24, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Volkswagen driver Canfield had been caught speeding in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A417 at Stretton Grandison on June 26.

Canfield, of Betws-y-Coed, Gwynedd, was fined £440 and received six penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £44 victim surcharge.

Andrew Brian Ball, 32, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Ball had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a Ford in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Pencraig on June 24.

Ball, of Sinton Green, Hallow, was fined £246 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.

Kieran Simeon Stevanist Wilkes, 34, was found guilty by magistrates in Hereford after entering a not guilty plea.

The court heard DAF truck driver Wilkes had been caught speeding in a temporary 40 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Whitchurch on April 12.

Wilkes, of Albert Road, Harborne, was fined £150 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £400 and a £34 victim surcharge.
