ANOTHER Herefordshire primary school has sent children home due to rising coronavirus infections.

Headteacher Mrs Dean said Acorn Class, at Llangrove CE Academy, is temporarily closed due to an increase in coronavirus related staff absences.

The school, which is part of the Herefordshire Marches Federation of Academies, is one of several across the county to partially close in the last two weeks, with children temporarily returning to learning from home.

It follows yesterday's announcement from Wigmore Primary School, which said year five children would be learning from home due to an increase in staff testing positive for coronavirus.

Wigmore had previously sent children in years four and six home last week.
