FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in Herefordshire hamlet in the early hours of this morning.
A fire service spokesperson said crews from Hereford and Ross fire stations were sent to tackle a fire in an external wood store in Checkley at 2.20am today (January 25).
Firefighters worked to put out the blaze, which needed considerable damping down and turned over to access deep pockets of fire, the spokesperson said.
