A HEREFORD street in the city centre has closed for a week as roadworks get underway.

Union Street, in Hereford, closed earlier this month after a sinkhole appeared.

The road closed again on Saturday (January 22) for seven days, this time to allow Western Power to carry out works.

It will reopen on Friday (January 24).

Blueschool Street’s far right-hand filter lane for Union Street is also temporarily closed.

Yeomans bus service said it has caused some disruptions with some services.

The bus service 453 will not stop at the Shire Hall as it usually would, instead passengers must go to the county bus station.

While service 426 will terminate in Commercial Road and passengers must join the bus at the Merton Hotel for journeys to Bodenham.

Service 76 and 76a will not be stopping at the Shire Hall, and passengers must join the bus at the city bus station.
