- The Bulls had the opening chance after five minutes with Ryan Lloyd picking out Jaanai Gordon only to be denied by a last ditch defensive header.
- Bulls goalkeeper Brandon Hall was forced into a 20th minute save denying Omari Sterling's shot from outside the box.
- Sam Austin was next to test Hall with a long-range effort which was easily saved.
- Bulls defender Ben Pollock then had a golden chance firstly being denied a header by Geraldo Bajrami and from the resulting corner rising highest but nodding over with the goal at his mercy.
- Five minutes before the break Hereford were ahead when Maziar Kouhyar's corner was headed down and Gordon drilled his effort low into the net.
- Pollock had another chance before the break beating the off-side trap from a Revan ball over the top but the ball just eluded the defender.
- Five minutes after the break Hereford doubled their lead with a quick counter-attack.
- Kouhyar picked out the run of McLean who pulled the ball across to Owen-Evans with the midfielder firing into the bottom corner.
- Kiddy then came back into the game retaining possession looking for a way back into the game and Austin fired a free-kick just over.
- Hall was forced back into action on 76 minutes palming away Austin's free-kick from a dangerous position.
- A rare Bulls attack came with 10 minutes remaining with Owen-Evans running at the defence before seeing his lobbed effort fly over.
- Substitute Miles Storey should have made it 3-0 with two minutes remaining running through on goal only to be denied by the legs of goalkeeper Luke Simpson.
- In stoppage time Pollock put himself on the line blocking a rifled effort by Omari Sterlig inside the box.
