AN ERRATIC driver was four and a half times the drink-drive limit when she was found by police in Herefordshire.

Shelley O'Sullivan admitted drink-driving when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford.

Police responded to reports of a blue Ford Focus being driven erratically on the A4103 Hereford to Worcester road at 8.58pm on December 8, prosecutor Ralph Robyns Landricombe said.

They pulled the car over and driver O'Sullivan was arrested after failing a roadside breath test. An evidential breath test in police custody revealed she had 160 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than four and a half times the legal limit of 35.

The court heard 48-year-old O'Sullivan has three previous convictions for driving with excess alcohol, the most recent of which was in 2015.

George Cousins, for O'Sullivan, said there was quite a lot of history to O'Sullivan which would be best explored in a pre-sentencing report by probation.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out and O'Sullivan, of Farndon Rise, Withington, was handed an interim driving ban.

She will appear before magistrates in Hereford for sentencing on January 26.
