I WOULD like to write in response to the letter sent supporting the Boxing Day hunt parades.

I assure you that people opposed to this are not the minority.

Some members of society like to hark back to the argument of tradition and countryside values.

This argument is illogical.

Hunting is archaic and barbaric. Society has moved on.

We thankfully also no longer accept public hanging.

Hunting still continues under the smokescreen of drag hunting. Foxes are captured, starved and then released with injuries to be chased down by those people who seem to lack common empathy.

Dens are dug out and cubs are thrown to the dogs or kept until the next drag hunt.

This is happening. This needs to stop. Society should not normalise barbaric behaviour by allowing a farcical parade.
