AN EMPTY Hereford restaurant could soon have a new lease of life as the building is listed as 'under offer'.

Number 15 West Street, formerly home to Thai restaurant, Thai on Wye, is described as a "prominent and spacious" building with potential by agents Sunderlands, with whom it is on the market for a guide price of £395,000.

It is now listed as being under offer by the agents.

The three-storey building includes two ground floor units with restaurant and cafe and retail consent, while the upper floors, accessed by a separate stairwell, offer large open spaces with potential for change of use, Sunderlands said.

The currently vacant building in the city centre is surrounded by a number of popular businesses, including the Burger Shop, and Stables pub.

Sunderlands said there is potential to knock the ground floor units, one of which was formerly used as a hairdresser, while the other was a restaurant, into one, creating a larger unit.

The upper floors are also currently vacant and could allow for residential conversion, the agents said, while the basement let attracts an income of £4,000 per annum.
